Animal Dung is the food of Jinns

Bukhari - Volume 5, Book 58, Number 200:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

That once he was in the, company of the Prophet carrying a water pot for his ablution and for cleaning his private parts. While he was following him carrying it(i.e. the pot), the Prophet said, "Who is this?" He said, "I am Abu Huraira." The Prophet said, "Bring me stones in order to clean my private parts, and do not bring any bones or animal dung." Abu Huraira went on narrating: So I brought some stones, carrying them in the corner of my robe till I put them by his side and went away. When he finished, I walked with him and asked, "What about the bone and the animal dung?" He said, "They are of the food of Jinns. The delegate of Jinns of (the city of) Nasibin came to me--and how nice those Jinns were--and asked me for the remains of the human food. I invoked Allah for them that they would never pass by a bone or animal dung but find food on them."

1) Why was Mohammad cavorting with a race of Jinn, especially if Jinn are demonic spirits?
2) Why did Allah have mercy on the Jinn especially when he is against the Jinn?
3) Why did the Jinn want to eat animal dung or bones? Couldn't they have chosen something better?
a) Mohammad, ever the nice guy, only managed to get the Jinn animal dung or bone because they were such nice Jinn. How much would he get you, as an individual, for being nice to him?

In a related twist, Bukhari added this verse to ensure that one day, his prophet's words would be vindicated. And today, it has... With...

THE JINN CATCHER (The Muslim Dream Catcher)

However, in a move to show that this verse is real, chief Muslim scientists from around the globe have come up with a novel invention: The Jinn Catcher! The Jinn Catcher is like a giant mouse trap. It is operated by putting a piece of animal dung or bone in an area. Once the Jinn come and start eating the animal dung, they burn through a trip wire that immidiately causes a giant trap to fall on them.

In order not to hurt the Jinn, Muslim scientists have come up with a way to keep the Jinn alive in the trap. There is a fear that the Jinn would consume all the oxygen in the trap and in effect, suffocate themselves and no longer exist. Islamic scientists have managed to ensure that oxygen will continue to pump down into the trap, so that the Jinn may continue to breath.

Do you believe that animal dung and bones are the food of Jinn as well?

Is it not sad and contrary to logic that anyone who desires to quote a belief resorts to alleged sayings of long past followers of that belief, rather than research and present a view of that belief using the doctrine which is the core of that belief, Quran.

Nowhere in the Quran does it state that all jinns are evil and that they eat bones and dung.

If you do your research into the character and life of the Holy Prophet of Islam, you will find with clear certainty that it is quite unlike Muhammad s.a.w to request anyone to pass him some stones to clean himself after going to the toilet. And does it not cross anyone's mind that if they were in that position, would they ask anyone to bring them some material to clean themselves and let them stay close by their side while in that position.

The point I'm trying to make is that there are thousands of hadiths regarding Islam and many of these hadiths are only there to damage Islam. Hadiths that can be grasped by enemies of God and used as a proof against Islam. For all you muslims brothers and sisters out there this is not to say that all of sahih bukhari is wrong rather please do question what is right or wrong by applying common sense and logic.

To my knowledge, jinn eat many forms of food like certain parts of plants, and particular parts of animal life. This could be flesh like meat or even rice. Also according to Islamic tradition they eat certain parts of bone and as for dung that's food for their animals and not them. But hey don't many people eat these things as well? If you look into certain cultures, you will find that the jinns are offered roasted chicken, goat meat, egg, sticky rice, fruits and many other foods. That sounds like a healthy diet don't you think?

Comment#3 - dont forget the bone and animal dung. That truly makes it a healthy diet!

Dont forget the Fatwa where it was a blessing to drink Mohammad's (PBUH) Urine too (http://muslimhadith.blogspot.com/2009/03/allah-causes-mohammad-to-forget-quran.html)

Mohammad(PBUH) also prescribed camel urine as medicine (http://muslimhadith.blogspot.com/2008/07/dr-mohammad-part-ii.html)
