Mohammad and the 5th Commandment:

The Fifth Commandment: Honor thy Mother and thy Father

The case can be made that the Ten Commandments were listed in order of their importance. If that is true, then this is the most vital of the ones that govern relationships between people. The word for “honor” is the Hebrew kabad, which at its root means “to be heavy, or to make weighty.”

We are not to take our relationship with our parents lightly, but rather we are to respect them, hold them in esteem, and take their instructions very seriously. Paul provides the practical application when he simply instructs children to “obey their parents in (or “out of respect for”) Yahweh, for this is right.” (Ephesians 6:1)

A) Mohammad’s father Abdullah (Slave to Allah before Allah was Mohammad’s god):

1) Abdullah’s Childhood

Ishaq:67 "When Abdul Muttalib had ten sons grown to maturity and he knew that they would protect him, he told them of his vow, and called on them to keep faith with Allah in this matter. They expressed their obedience, and asked what they should do. He replied, 'Let every one of you take an arrow, write his name on it, and bring it to me.' They did this, and he went into the presence of Hubal in the interior of the Ka'aba. Hubal was the greatest of the idols of Quraysh in Mecca."

Ibn Ishaq, the earliest compiler of Muslim Traditions, just told us that the high god of the Ka'aba was Hubal - not Allah. Doesn't this make Allah (also the second god of the Qur'an following Ar-Rahman) a second rate deity? Abdul Muttalib started having second thoughts. So he went off and consulted with a sorceress, hoping to get the "right" advice.

Tabari VI:2 "By Allah! You shall never sacrifice him but you must get an excuse for not doing so." (This sounds innocent enough until you realize that the person swearing by Allah is a Devil worshipper.) "There is a sorceress who has a familiar spirit; ask her, and you will know what to do. If she commands you to sacrifice him, you will sacrifice him, and if she commands you to do something which offers relief to you and to him, you can accept it." (Sorceresses are occult mediums: in other words, witches. Their familiar spirits are demons.)

"So they went to Medina where they discovered that the sorceress had moved to Khaybar. They rode until they reached her. She said, 'Retire from me until my familiar spirit visits me and I can ask him. Abdul Muttalib stood and prayed to Allah… On the following day they went back. She said, 'Yes! News has come to me. How much is the blood-money among you.' They replied, 'Ten camels.' She said, 'Bring forward the young man and ten camels, and cast arrows. If they fall against the boy, add camels until your Lord is satisfied.'"

Tabari VI:5 "They returned to Mecca when they had all agreed on the matter, Abdul Muttalib stood and prayed to Allah inside the Ka'aba beside Hubal. The arrows fell against Abdallah, so they added ten camels, making twenty. With Muttalib standing and praying to Allah they went on this way ten times. Each time the arrows fell against Abdallah."

"Abdul Muttalib stood beside Hubal in the interior of the Ka'aba, calling upon Allah. The custodian of the arrows took and cast them, and the lot fell against Abdallah. So Muttalib took Abdallah by the hand. He grabbed a large knife. Then he went up to the idols Isaf and Nailah [the fornicating stones] who Quraysh used to slaughter their sacrifices, to sacrifice Abdullah…Your Lord is satisfied at last. The camels were slaughtered and left there. No man or wild beast was turned back from eating them."

2) Mohammad’s Conception:

"Abdul Muttalib took Abdallah by the hand. It is alleged they passed by Umm Qattal bt. Abd al-Uzza [Slave-to-the-goddess-al-Uzza], the sister of Waraqa [the Hanif]. She was by the Ka'aba. When she looked at his face she said, 'Where are you going, Abdallah? I have seen many camels slaughtered for you, so sleep with me now.'" Tabari VI:6 "It is alleged that he consummated his marriage to her there as soon as he married her, that he lay with her and that she conceived Muhammad; then he left her presence and came to the woman who had propositioned him, and said to her, 'Why do you not make the same proposition to me today which you made to me yesterday?'" To which she replied, "The light which was with you yesterday has left you, and I have no need of you today."

3) Ramifications of Mohammad’s father’s relationship with Mohammad

The story of Abdullah is not very flattering to Mohammad (PBUH) as it shows that a devil worshipper wanted to be impregnated with Mohammad (PBUH).

If the above is a fabrication in order to make Mohammad’s birth seem miraculous, (like that of Jesus), then it shows that Mohammad really did not respect his father all that much that he would have to lie about his origins in order to give Mohammad (PBUH) a noble birth.

It seems more likely than not that this story is made up. Both the Quran and hadith say that the only miracle associated with the Prophet (PBUH) was the revelation of the Surahs themselves.

Noble Quran 3:138

They (also) said: "Allah took our promise not to believe in an messenger unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you messengers before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?" if you are truthful?

Sahih Bukhari 9:92:379 Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "There was no prophet among the prophets but was given miracles because of which people had security or had belief, but what I was given was the Divine Inspiration which Allah revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will be more than those of any other prophet on the Day of Resurrection."

In Qur'an 21:5 we find that one of the many arguments used by Muhammad’s critics at the time was that he couldn't do miracles, and would not believe in him until he did a miracle (Quran 17:90)

Noble Quran 21:5

Nay, say they, (these are but) muddled dreams; nay, he hath but invented it; nay, he is but a poet. Let him bring us a portent even as those of old (who were God's messengers) were sent (with portents).

Noble Quran 17:90
They say: "We shall not believe in thee, until thou cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth,

As such, it leads one to believe that Mohammad (PBUH) made up this story about His (PBUH) father, and thus broke this Commandment all for His (PBUH) own devious purposes, and did not respect His (PBUH) father enough to tell the truth. However, if you want to believe that devil worshippers thought Mohammad (PBUH) was cool, please go right ahead. After all, in another hadith, we find that Mohammad (PBUH) was sick because his Satan abandoned him (http://muslimhadith.blogspot.com/2009/01/mohammad-sick-because-his-satan.html); and that a Satan was continuously living with him (http://muslimhadith.blogspot.com/2008/06/aisha-jealous-of-mohammed-womanizer.html).

B) The Quran on Family Relations:

The Quran also does not endorse this Commandment, and since Mohammad (PBUH) was the Messenger, he is vicariously liable for pushing his doctrine to break this Commandment:

9:23 O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers.

In other words, don't be friends with disbelieving family members. Those who do so are wrong-doers.

9:24 Say: If your fathers, and your sons, and your brethren, and your wives, and your tribe, and the wealth ye have acquired, and merchandise for which ye fear that there will no sale, and dwellings ye desire are dearer to you than Allah and His messenger and striving in His way: then wait till Allah bringeth His command to pass. Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

If you value your parents, wives, and children more than Allah and Muhammad, then just wait and see what Allah will do to you after you die.

9:113 It is not for the Prophet, and those who believe, to pray for the forgiveness of idolaters even though they may be near of kin (to them) after it hath become clear that they are people of hell-fire

Don't pray for idolaters (not even for your family) after it is clear they are people of hell-fire.Hell and The Fire in the Quran

58:22 Thou wilt not find folk who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His messenger, even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brethren or their clan. As for such, He hath written faith upon their hearts and hath strengthened them with a Spirit from Him, and He will bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide. Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him. They are Allah's party. Lo! is it not Allah's party who are the successful ?

On the Last Day good Muslims will not love their non-Muslim friends and family members, not even their fathers, sons, or brothers (or their mothers, daughters, or sisters).

The Meccan response sums up how Mohammad’s (PBUH) message caused family enmity in order to break up the family unit, and thus breaking this Commandment.

Ishaq 121: "'The nearest thing to the truth is that he is a sorcerer who has brought a message by which he separates a man from his father, his brother, his wife, children and family.' They all agreed. Then, according their scheme, the men of Quraysh spread the word that 'this is nothing but ancient sorcer.' among the pilgrims in the hajj season. They warned everyone they met that Muhammad was a possessed sorcerer, stirring up divions in the families."

“Stirring up divisions in the family” says it all… Mohammad (PBUH) did not respect the family unit one bit.

Amazing... That is the biggest lie i have ever heard in my life. You have no shame at all do you? You are the one talking about the ten commandements, yet you don't know that lying is a sin? You are on of the most filthiest persons i've ever known in the face of this planet. Shame on you... To lie like that. I hope that God guides you to the right path and to the TRUTH. Peace.

Jesus said do not think I have come to make peace I have come to cause bloodshed between father and son.

“Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law: and a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me. “(Matthew 10:34-38)

How did Jesus create bloodshed?

He did not steal (and get 20% of the war booty) (Mohammad (s'all allahu allayhi wa saalam) did - http://muslimhadith.blogspot.com/2010/02/mohammad-and-8th-commandment.html)

He did not kill (http://muslimhadith.blogspot.com/2009/09/mohammad-and-6th-commandment.html)

He didn't break any of the 10 Commandments, which Mohammad (s'all allahu allayhi wa saalam) did... http://muslimhadith.blogspot.com/2010/03/mohammad-and-10-commandments.html

Why dont you tell me the actions Jesus did that created bloodshed. We all know Mohammad's (s'all allahu, allayhi wa'saalam)

have you visited www.evilbible.com ? should give you some insight about christianity. especially with regards to the rapes and murders of non-christians. most of the verses quoted in the quran are out of context and supported by baseless hadith. you have committed 2 logical fallacies in your arguments. firstly the logical fallacy of "quoting out of context" and the second logical fallacy of "false analogy" where yu have confused the hadith with quran. see my website thefreemuslim.com for a full explanation against similar critics.

Have u read Surah MARyam, what quran says about jesus peace be upon him. If there was any truth in ur post u would be confronting muslims on TV with the aid of jews and may be christains as well. But since its all a big lie ,quoting out of context. And one more thing before u quote any more Ahadith go through the since of haith first.
